Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Stripper friend in trouble?

My friend was ticketed tonight by vice for giving a dance with too much contact. Basically she sat on his lap but here in San Diego you can get in trouble if your hair brushes them. I was wondering what kind of a ticket is this? Is this a misdemeanor/felony? What penal code would this fall under? Providing that everything is as she says, what legal action can be taken in her case? Last but not least, would any violation result being registered as a sex offender?

The citation should say which statute(s) the police claim she violated. Without knowing what the charges are, it's hard to say what sort of consequences your friend might be facing. I very much doubt that this would be a felony or that your friend would need to register as a sex offender, but I can't be sure with the limited information in your question.

Ditto to the not enough info, but most cites in this catagories are misdemeanors..

Also, could be some city ordinance.?
