Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Type Your Question Here...i was sent a bill from revenue services for over $3000.00 from a posession of controlled substance from 2010. I was sentenced to prop 36 completed that and to my knowledge that was the end of it. I was able to get a copy of court minutes and it did say formal probation, at $75.00 per month for 3 years. I have heard nothing about it until now. I thought I was on court probation, for 18 months. If this is true why didnt i get an arrest warrant for not reporting, and do i have to pay this? I am on sociail security , and dont have the money.

The best advice is to respond to the demand and request a meeting to sort this out. If a term of your probation was payment, and you didn't pay, then your discussion is going to be focused on how to satisfy the court somehow. It may mean going back to court and making a Motion to amend the court's previous order and reduce or waive the amounts due, and make payments.
