i didnt waive my right to a speedy trial, and was released on the 10th day of preliminary hearing due to police being unable to make it to court, isnt that motion for dismissal?

Check with your lawyer about what happened. While you may have been released and the case may have been dismissed, the case can be re-filed and the prosecution can have one more shot at it.

No - unless the case was dismissed, then you were released, but the case was continued.

This is a felony case - I can only assume you have an attorney on the case. Verify this with them.
