Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

was working at a store in California and stole a few items all together under $200 a police officer came to my work and i confessed. I returned the stolen items and was fired. A couple months passed and i heard nothing. i thought the charges were dropped so I decided to book a ticket to move to Arizona because I had become homeless and my father offered for me to stay with him. a couple of days after i booked the ticket I got an arrest warrent for petty theft with a bail of 1,000 dollars I turned myself in and was booked without having to pay bail or be arrested. This is my first offense and my court date was set for a few months after. (sep.29th) I was wondering if theres anyway i can transfer my courtcase or sentence from California to Arizona So i Do not become homeless in California

The case stays where is is filed. If it is in SoCal, and if you're serious about getting legal counsel to help you try to stay out of jail, feel free to contact me. If you can't afford private counsel, apply for the Public Defender.

I agree with the previous attorney. The case stays here in California. You need to either hire private counsel, and then you probably never have to come back, because the lawyer can resolve the whole matter for you, without you ever appearing. If you don't hire a private attorney, you need to appear and get a public defender.
