Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I was wrongfully imprisoned the month of November (2022), no charges were brought against me, I never went to court to speak with a Attorney, I was told that I did not have a court date and the trumped up charges were dropped. I ending up spending 6 days in jail (LA County) for no reason at all. I would like to bring the the city of Los Angeles and the City of Palmdale and La County Jail system to court and sue the arresting officer.

My Name Is Craig Sackheim i can be reached at 661.860.0505 - I never should have been incarcerated in the first place. I am A 63 year old law abiding citizen and my record will prove that, Please can someone call me .

Innocent people are sometimes arrested by mistake. Most of those mistakes are both honest and reasonable under the circumstances. When that happens, the arrestee typically doesn't have a viable lawsuit even though the mistake may have had serious consequences. Unless you can show that the arresting agencies knew or should have known at the time of your arrest that you were innocent and/or that they unreasonably delayed releasing you once they found out, there probably isn't much you can do.

Whether you have a valid case will depend upon a lot more detail than this website allows users to provide. So if you think you have a claim worth pursuing, look for a local lawyer or two who can help you evaluate your case.

Good luck.
