Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California

Internet advertising in a directory

I have an internet business directory, am I required by law to list businesses that sell adult content or sex, like in the state of Nevada? If I refused to list them would I be open to a discrimination law suit?

Probably not, if you set up your policy statements correctly. That is not the same as saying 'guaranteed' not to get sued. Unfortunately, nothing can prevent a suit from being filed, but winning it is entirely a different issue. Consult with 'experienced' local counsel that can help you write policies and disclaimers.
