passport

Is there anyway to get a passport .when you owe child support. I need some advice what to do please. I am welling to have a DNA test if necessary. But how can I get one? Please give me some advice of what to do . Thank you.

If you are on record with the state as owing more than $2500, you won't be issued a passport, and even a judge won't be able to help. You will just have to get off the list. If you think you are not the child's father and you want a DNA test, you could possibly get relief from the court if you haven't waited too long.

If you already have a child support judgment against you I do not know that it is not to late to now attack it on the basis you are not the father. You might have to show the existence of new evidence you reasonably could not have been aware of before the judgment. Check with the Passport Office as to what they will accept to grant a passport. You may have to be current in your payments.
