Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California

My question is what to do when you've been discriminated against because of age?

I am 46yrs old and just quit my sales associate position at a woman's clothing store because it was going no where for me. Younger girls were the ones being promoted and given more hours even though they may have just started working. I've always had good job compliments from management. I put in a request for promotion when a management position became available for the third time, but it was ignored.

Thank you for you time!

Regina

If you have provable age discrimination, you can file suit. You can start by filing as required with the Dept of Fair Employment and Housing in your area.
