Legal Question in DUI Law in California

CVC 23103(a)

I received a notice warrant of arrest in the mail today for my son who is out of state in college. He had gotten a dui (2nd) in California. However, he was under the legal limit the second time but the DMV wanted him to go to DUI school. All fees were paid to the court and DUI school. The judge told him to go to the 30 day class but the DMV wanted him to go to a 6 month class. He told the instructors what the judge indicated but the school couldn't determine what to do. In the meantime, my son was scheduled to go away to college so he left with the intention that he could go to another dui school out of state. What are his options because he is out of state in school and working?

He will need to retain an attorney to go to court and get the case set on the court calendar. Then the attorney can attempt to work out an arrangement for your son to avoid being arrested.
