Legal Question in DUI Law in California

I never really drink that much; just in the summer when I'm out of school. So I wonder: what kind of drinks are illegal to drink in public? Even mixed drinks (like Bailey's and milk) that don't look like bottles of alcohol?

It doesn't matter what the alcohol is - a beer, a shot of tequila or a foofy drink of Bailey's and milk. If you're in possession of an open container in a place you're not authorized to possess it, it's illegal.
