Legal Question in DUI Law in California

DUI Blood Test

I had my blood tested for a DUI 12 nights ago tonight and I still haven't heard

anything back. Does it usually take this long? I want to know what I'm being

charged with, if anything and it's getting on my nerves.

Re: DUI Blood Test

It often takes a while. Usually, it takes 30-45 days for DMV to notify my clients whether their test was over .08. The police officer on the case will have it sooner, but often 20 days.

I am assuming that you think you will be under .08 and possibly under .05. If you would like to discuss how to handle this case, please contact me.

Just because the test comes out at a certain number, does not mean that number is correct.

Re: DUI Blood Test

Depending on the criminalistics labatory capacity and work load it can be several weeks before you will know what is happening. You need to maintain contact with the DMV so that your license is not suspended before the test results are available.
