Work furlough is a program where a person is released from jail during the day to go to work, but must return to jail at night.

Work release is like community service. You get a day of credit against your jail sentence for each day you work.

Each county maintains its own program, and some counties don't have them at all. You should check with a lawyer in the county where you are charged.
