Legal Question in DUI Law in California

HI i have a warent for my arrest because i owed $400 in 1991 for a case.

But i thought the case was closed, but now i'm finding out that i still owe that money

So my question is how much money do i owe now that it's 2010?

I owed money because i was in an accident and i was drunk.

Do i need a lawyer?

Yes, because not only do you owe the money, there's a warrant for your arrest. Warrants are nasty things that tend to pop up when you least expect them, like when you get pulled over while you are in the middle of driving your Aunt Maude to the doctor. Aunt Maude will not like being left by the side of the road after you are arrested and your car is impounded, and she will write you out of her will. But I digress. Having a lawyer on board will substantially increase the likelihood that you can resolve the situation without getting arrested, and that alone is worth it to many people.

If it is a misdemeanor warrant, then I can appear on your behalf to have it removed and come to an acceptable settlement of the matter. Contact me directly.

You have to either turn yourself into court and deal with it, or risk being taken away in cuffs if you come in contact with police anywhere. Hire an attorney now to help you turn yourself in and defend you. If he can credibly show and convince the judge that you didn't know of the outstanding problem or warrant at the time, it will minimize the penalties for the FTA and warrant. IF this is a misdemeanor, the attorney can handle it all without you being present. If a felony, you have to be there too. If this is in SoCal and you're serious about getting help, feel free to contact me.
