Legal Question in Education Law in California

Dear, LawGuru team!
I am a 20 years_old international student, who is a junior in Academy of art university in San Francisco. I would like to ask you about the sponsor law. I came to US to study 2 years ago. At that time, my parent were my guardian ( because they pay for my clollege tuition ). But now, they authorized their guardian rights to another person, who is non of my relatives and he wont pay for my tuition also. I strongly dont agree what they have done without noticed me once. So, can i reject the new sponsor's rights ? and how's? By the way, what is a sponsor job to a college student ?
