Legal Question in Elder Law in California

I was wonder if someone could explain what elder abuse is exactly. You see, I have a brother that is constantly yelling at my mother, telling her she is no f'ing good and it goes on. By the time he is done she no longer has a normal color to her and she just shakes. He curses at her with words I have never heard of, and is always picking fights with her. She is 86 and my father is 90 but those two get along ok. He works for my parents and also takes care of my father. Is there anything I can do, besides yell back and get into a physical fight, because, I am disabled and am very unstable standing. Thanking you in advance, Luann

Anyone concerned about her could complain to the police, and to Adult Protective Services, or could assist in filing for a restraining order to force him to leave. No one should tolerate such improper behavior.

Your zip code is outside California, so I'm not sure why you are asking this in California. If your mother is actually in California, then the local district attorney's office should have a deputy DA, or maybe a department depending on your county, that handles elder abuse. Contact them.
