Legal Question in Elder Law in California

Legality of Car lease

Is it legal for a person to pretend to sell you a car. They ask you to take over the payments for three years You take over the payments then in three years they tell you that the car you have been paying on is being leased to you by them. This was not on the original paper work but has been added later. They are in the business of cleaning offices at night. They send you a document which has your name and not your signature on it to let you know there was no limit to the amount of time of the lease. They have promised to send the registration is my name but have never done it. Instead this is the paper work that is e-mail to me. What choices do I have? the car is in my posession but the registration is due this month. Is this legal? or is it fraud? What options do I have?

Re: Legality of Car lease

Consult with a local attorney to discuss what appears to be fraud. You may have rights and remedies to seek your money back. You could also go to the police with your claims to see if a crime was committed.
