Legal Question in Entertainment Law in California

Adult Film

I have been a professional escort for a number of years and have recently been getting harrased by law inforcments on my activity. So I have decided to see my clients as a porn actor in exchange for money. Is this the proper step to take ? Is it better to operate as a adult movie business or to produce artwork with adult content, to avoid illegal activity for the exchange of money for sex.

Re: Adult Film

The legal requirements of the adult film business are very complex, and can result in serious penalties. If you decide to proceed this way, be sure to consult with a good adult-film oriented entertainment law firm.

There are (among others) complex recordkeeping requirements, ID restrictions and health code issues you'll need to consider.

Criminal penalties for noncompliance may be MORE severe than the pandering and prostititution charges you'd face if you're not making movies, or media.
