I am part of a growing news story, I am gettng daily calls from media associations from Inside Edition to CNN. Should I be paid for my interviews?

Yes. Ask them to make you an offer. If they want an "Exclusive", that will mean you only speak to one organization. Obviously, the price will be higher.

don't be surprised, however, if the more "legitimate" news organizations don't want to pay you for the story.

I think it depends on your involvement in the story and whether you are a crucial interview. I have had clients get paid from media like the Enquirer but CNN usually does not pay. You should consult someone about your specific situation.
