Play DVD in business place

Is is legally allowed to play DVD movies in a Hair salon for client entertainment ?

Nope. If you read the FBI Warning that plays at the start of the DVD, you'll see that it specifies Private Viewing only. Playing a video in your shop is a public, commercial use, even if you don't charge a separate admission price for viewing the film.
