Legal Question in Entertainment Law in California

Unauthorized Use of my Music

I am a seasoned music entertainer/recording artist. The other day as I Googled my name, I came across a music download website that had my CDs posted (as well as other artists) for ''Free Downloads''. I don't know these people or this company and have never authorized them to use my music for free or to sell. Is this grounds for a lawsuit. I have worked hard creating and recording my music and people ''purchase'' my music on sites that I've authorized to sell my music. Is there an attorney on here who can help me?

Re: Unauthorized Use of my Music

I suggest that you demand the site selling your music to take it down. Legally, there would be an action for copyright infringement, but practically, it may not be worth it.
