If 2 parents share custody 51/49% and the parent that has 49% is not working how is child support determined?

There is not enough information to calculate support for you. Several things are considered in addition to the timeshare, including the income of both parties. You can go to www.childsup.ca.gov to assist in calculating support.

Also, if one parent is not working, the other parent can ask that income be imputed to that parent. This means the court, depending on the reasons for not working, can calculate support based on the amount the parent is capable of earning.
