Legal Question in Family Law in California

My 17 year old son ran away from home. He has some mental health issues and I just found drug paraphernalia in his room. I know where he is probably staying but I don't want him back in my house. He refuses to take his medications and go to his Dr. Apts. I have a very strong feeling he is going to get himself into some financial trouble and I don' t want it to come back on me. What can I do? I know he has wanted to be emancipated in the past but never followed through with the paperwork now that he left I am not sure if he will. If he does not are there any other options ?

Based on your facts, emancipation does not seem likely. You may want to contact social services for assistance.

Drug users with mental health issues don't get emancipated.
