Legal Question in Family Law in California

I currently have a 6 yr old who lives with his mother. I pay child support for him plus 1/2 of daycare. I recently had a new child with another woman. Can I reduce my child support obligation for my son to benefit my new born?

Yes. Child support is recalculated when you have another child from a new relationship, and it generally goes down as to the older child.

You can ask for a judge to recalculate the amount of support but there are a variety of other factors that will also come into play. You should consult with an attorney for advice before you do anything.
