Adoption of my children to stepparent
Once I start the process for a legal adoption of a child to the step parent, do the child support payments stop or do I have to keep paying when the petitioner (who is dragging their feet on signing), I signed my half over a month ago...but they are demanding more $$ for support. They drew up papers for me and served me.

Until the judgment of adoption is signed and entered by the Court, bio dad is the legal father and obliged to continue to pay child support.
