Legal Question in Family Law in California

Annulment of a marriage certificate

Dear Sir/Madam, how do I obtain an annulment of a marriage certificate issued in Las Vegas back in 1989, which has been actually invalid since 1996 when I've separated, there are no children or property/money matters involved at all. I don't know where does she resides at present butI presume in San Diego. Sincerely Yours

Re: Annulment of a marriage certificate

I don't know why the "marriage certificate" would be invalid unless a marriage ceremony was never performed by a person licensed to perform marriages. If there was a valid marriage, you would need to get a dissolution (divorce) which would be easier if you can find her to give her copies of the divorce papers. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
