Legal Question in Family Law in California

Anullment and re marriage

I was married to some one in a court and it was mistake, we never lived together , never touched each other. we immediately applied for annullment within few days. After 2/3 months it was granted. this was more than 3 yrs ago. Now iam getting married to the right person, i didnt tell her about my bad past. we are madly in love. I dont want to disclose my past. since my marriage was anulled can i say i am single. i really dont want to spoil my relationship since we are few days away from the day. Can i say i was never married ?. will the court deny me a license?.

Re: Anullment and re marriage

If an annulment was granted, you are single. While you may represent that you have never been "married," I have been asked several times to do annulments/divorces where a spouse found out after the marriage that their spouse was previously married. Annulled or not, there is a pulibic record of your prior marriage and your hiding it will be a real problem if your spouse discovers it in the future.
