Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am attempting to end my domestic partnership, but do not know where my partner currently resides. What options do I have to serve her? Am I able to just file paperwork with the court?

You will have to go through a divorce-like court proceeding. If you make reasonable efforts to find her including examination of voting records and perhaps use of a private investigator, but are unsuccessful, you can seek a court order to publish as a substitute means of service. Then, once that is accomplished, you can obtain your partnership termination by default.
