Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Support Income Consideration in CA

My boyfriend and I have been living together for 3 years. He has one child from a previous marriage. His ex-wife wants to change the support order and add in my income into the calculation. Can this be done in California even though we are not married?

Child support is calculated by formula and your income is not figured in that calculation, unless you pay him rent, which would be income tohim. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
