Legal Question in Family Law in California

In a child support modification, one parent has 1 child in the their home, and the other has 2 (not including the child for whom the order is for).

Would the judge grant both parents the same amount / percentage of hardship?

Or can the judge apply a different amount / percentage per child? And if so, what is the reasoning for that? (is it dependent on age, or the parent's income?)

Please help!

I have not been able to get an answer.

Just want to know what the standard procedure was for applying hardships.

Also, can you refer me to anything I can read to become more familiar with this issue?

I cannot afford a lawyer right now.

thanks for your help!
