Legal Question in Family Law in California

child support...I can't leave the country

I'm an entertainer, I've been offered allot of money to perform over seas but I can't leave the country.

I have child support in four different counties for 5 different children they're all grown except one.

I'm paying support now, but being that I owe so much they won't let me leave the country to perform. Is there anything that can be done?

I'm not trying to skip town or bail out on support, I just want to be able to make more money when possible.

Help me if you can...thank you

They won't release your passport unless you basically pay of the arrearage. I believe their policy is they put the hold on if you owe more than $5000
