How do i get my childen back from Family member?

My chidren was taken from me by my foster mother when i was 19 there was no court order,and now 10 years later i am known as an person who abandond her kids.I want my kids back, how can i go about doing so from tx? Back then i didnt know anything. I was young and didnt know how to get help.

you will have to retain an attorney, and prepare for a long tough fight. Under current California Law the foster parents have a good claim to retain custody.
