how to count the years of marriage if some years the spouce is incarcerated? 3 years together, rest he was incarcerated

Your husband being incarcerated while you were married does not mean you were not married while he was in prison. I'm not sure why you're asking about this but if you are using the years of the marriage to determine if it was a long term marriage or for the purposes of support those years will count. You might want to take some time and think about why your asking this question and then re-ask the question and provide more information.
