Legal Question in Family Law in California

custody questions for my son

My son and his girlfriend are breaking up,and my son needs to know what steps to take to get custody of his son.My son is a full time student at the community college where he lives.Also if he could bring his son home,to Iowa.I would appreciate any help you can give to us.

What your son needs to do is hire an attorney who can present his case. It's no kind of job for self help.

It will be very difficult for him to get custody of the child. Mother's get preference in reality if not by law.
