Custody

Unmarried father and mother lived together with child in az. There was a domestic violence issue and a restaining order issued against father. Mother had to leave son with father due to financial problems and is now in ca. Wants to file emergency custody and permanent custody. What state does she file in. Ca or az?

If she's been in California for 6 months, she can file in either state. It would be easier to file in Arizona, however.
