Legal Question in Family Law in California

dates of marriage

In California, after 1 1/2 years marriage, filed a divorce petition and separated. While waiting for 6 months, decided to reconcile again. Got moved back in 9 months after the first separation. Divorce petition was never withdrawed. Then separated again after 10 months. What is the dates of marriage? Until the first separation, until the file of divorce petition, or the second separation?

Re: dates of marriage

The date of separation is the 2nd separation. You can file an amended petition to change this, but I would probably just proceed with the petition as is. CA allows oral amendments even at time of trial, so unless the date of separation is a significant issue (which it would be for example if someone won the lottery during the reconciliation period), I wouldn't worry about it.
