Legal Question in Family Law in California

Per my divorce decree, my husband was to have paid me 38k by Nov. 2011. I have not received anything because he was denied a loan from the bank we hold our mortgage with. Now the bank is saying he has been approved, but they don't want to do it because in our divorce papers spousal support is marked reserved and unless i sign a document saying I will not ask for it the loan will not go through. They are also saying the loan is not guaranteed to go through even if i do give up my spousal support rights. What do I do?

I suggest speaking in person with a competent family lawyer. Don't waive spousal support rights until you have received such competent legal advice and the attorney has been advised of all the facts that affect your particular situation.
