hi i would like to ask if i can still get divorce although i dont know where is my husband now and no communication at all?what should i do?i been married to american guy and we get married in japan.but as of now i dont get any communication on him till now.i dont know if he is till here in japan.

If you got married in Japan and you are still in Japan, you probably need to get divorced in Japan no matter where he is. Unless you can locate him in a U.S. state, and show he has lived in that state for six months or more, the U.S. courts will not take the case. You should contact a bengoshi near you who does divorce work for advice. Only if you can prove your husband is in California can a California gai-ben like me help you.
I agree with Mr. McCormick. You need to consult with someone familiar with Japanese law, in Japan.
