Re: divorce in nevada

To file in NV, you or she needs to be a resident of NV. If you are both residents in CA, you have to file in CA.

I am not naive, I have seen plenty of people lie (under penalty of perjury in the divorce documents) about their residency to obtain a faster NV divorce. The validity of such the judgments can be attacked and in the case of the immigration service, they have ignored such divorce judgments as invalid. So if you have an immigration issue this is particularly a bad idea.
