Legal Question in Family Law in California

divorce speed-up

Is there a way to get a non-

responsive spouse to move forward

with a divorce,

by setting a hearing date and asking

for a specific asset, say? In my case

support is already provided monthly -

but my spouse is living with another

partner for over a year....

If your county has a facilitators office you should contact them and ask them how to take the matter to trial or to take a default judgment. Of course, it will be faster, easier and safer for you to consult an attorney and ask them to proceed on your behalf.. If you county does not have a facilitator you should get an attorney. Yes. If you're ready to proceed, file an at issue memorandum to get the matter put on a trial calendar.
