Legal Question in Family Law in California

My ex-wife receives visitation with our children for one week over the holiday break. I just learned that she is living in a home with a registered sex offender. How do I legally deny the visitation under these circumstances? I know the statutes but its a just a few days before she is supposed to get them. I do not want to be in contempt of the order by withholding visitation. I have full physical and legal custody.

Until you change the actual court order, you would be in violation of the order if you withheld visitation. The next step you should take is to file an emergency motion with the court requesting the suspension of any visitation if this person you are concerned about is present. . Please meet with an experienced family law attorney to explore your options.
