Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have lived with my boyfriend for 2 yrs, we have a 1 yr old daughter and I just recently started working, He cheated on me and now we are debating separation, but demands I leave my daughter with him. He states legaly he can win her over me. I'm afraid, and don't know how to handle this.

If you are the primary care taker of your daughter you have an excellent chance of getting custody.

You should consult with an attorney on how to proceed legally and peacefully. You do not want any issues with domestic violence to get in the way of a potential custody battle.
