Can a father take custody away from a mother because she does not live in a good neighborhood and he does?
Child custody is a complex area of Family Law. This answer should not replace the advice received during an in office consultation with an attorney skilled in the field of California Family Law.
Custody is based on the childs best interests. Best interests also include the child's psychological relationship and attachments. If the only concern is that the neighborhood isn't as nice as yours, that alone would seem insufficient to trigger a change of custody if you elect to return to court.
