The father of my 2 daughters brother was supposed to serve me court papers and gave them to my friend

You were not served with the petition for dissolution. You can contest the service of the summons and petition. This would require him to serve your personally, as provided by law.

This would slow the dissolution process for a short period of time. If you not are interested in slowing the dissolution process you can file your response to the petition.
