Legal Question in Family Law in California

Are fathers who win custody entitled to child support?

I won sole physical and legal custody of my son back in 1993 but I've never sought to collect child support from the mother.

If I am entitled to, what can I do to try to collect child support from her?

Of course you're entitled to child support. The primary factors are relative income of the parties and time share with the child. You need to bring an order to show cause regarding child support.

I am available for free consultations and my rates are very reasonable.

If there is no existing court order regarding child support here, then you would need to attend an OSC (order to show cause) hearing to make the necessary modifications giving you full legal rights to collect ongoing child support for your son.
