Legal Question in Family Law in California

Can my fiance's mother sue me for dating her daughter when she was 17 and I was 21? Now she is 18 and we are living together and engaged, but recently her parents have been trying to separate us.

No. There is no legal basis to sue you over that. IF you had sex, however, you are guilty of statutory rape. I'm not sure what the limitations period is on that, but I would be very surprised if they could get a D.A. to prosecute it if too much time has passed, and it would be pretty hard to prosecute unless your fiance was willing to cooperate in the prosecution or there was independent evidence.
