Legal Question in Family Law in California
Hello, I need to file for a divorce of two years. I purchased the home while we were living together before we had gotten married. I really need to move out because of verbal abuse. Is it legally better for me to stay in the home our best for me to live somewhere else during the divorce proceeding as it is just unbearable at this point. Thank you

If it is your house, you are better filing for divorce and including an emergency ex-parte request for sole occupancy of the family residence. If you have admissible proof of verbal abuse, you can also get a restraining order that requires him to move out.
