how do i obtain grandparents

visitation rights?

You can only get grandparents' visitation rights through your child, the parent of your grandchildren, or through the other parent. You do not personally have rights to visitation. It is presumed that the parents know best as to the people they want to have their children around. The only exception that I know of is where your child is deceased, and the other parent refuses to let you have visitation.
