Legal Question in Family Law in California

My husband is threatening to go after 50/50 custody of our daughter and therefore make me pay him child support. He has a severely disabled child, from a previous marriage, that is a potentially life threatening danger to my daughter, and I fear that he would not properly supervise them if they were with him at the same time. She is both self-injurious as well as attacked others, including her parents, teachers, and other siblings. He does watch her closely enough and I fear for my daughters safety when they would be with him. Would a court grant him the 50/50? How can I prevent this from happening?

The court has an obligation to make sure that the child is properly protected. If the child is not being properly supervised by father, then it would be justified to limit and structure a timeshare that would avoid any problems.
