Legal Question in Family Law in California

''Judgment never filed on a Divorce case''

Disolution was granted on July of 2000; the judgment was never filed. Do I need to go back to court or can I just file my judgment?

If judgment is identical to court order, you can file it. If questions, go to court and check out order of judge and make sure your judgment conforms to that set forth by judge.

Based upon the limited information that you have provided, you can file your judgment, assuming that it conforms to the court ruling, and or specific family law code secstions pertaining to "bifurcated judgments as to status only".

If you are in doubt, I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!
