Legal Question in Family Law in California

My ex got a lawyer and filed for divorce. I agreed to the conditions of the divoece so I did not get a lawyer we both signed the divorce papers but did not go in front of a judge but the papers were stamped by the courts. it has been six months and my exs lawyer said it would be final by now. but it isnt and my ex said there are a few more papers that need to be filed to make it final. do i need a lawyer to make this divorce final? I would like to get married again soon and move foward with my life.

If you have not received a judgment yet granting the dissolution, then yes, it may be a good idea to hire a lawyer to find out what is going on.
